Prior to opening my law office in Zachary in 2005, L.T. served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal (CV-59).  At the end of his service, he received an Honorable Discharge and returned to Louisiana. 

     He attended Louisiana State University and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education. He worked as a high school teacher and coach for five years from 1996 to 2001.  While teaching, he earned a Master of Education degree in Administration and Supervision from Southern University in 2001.

     In the fall of 2001, he was admitted to LSU's Paul M. Hebert Law Center and in 2004, graduated with both a Bachelor of Civil Law degree and a Juris Doctorate degree.

     He practiced all areas of family, civil and criminal law from 2005 to 2022 at the law firm of Perkins & Dupré in Zachary.

     Since 2022 I have served my neighbors in Zachary by serving as the City Prosecutor, the Assistant City Attorney and the Code Enforcement Hearing Officer.

     He married Stacey Lormand Dupré since 1997, and they moved to Zachary that same year.  They have two daughters, Anna (ZHS Class of 2021) and Amelia (ZHS Class of 2026). They are active parishioners at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.  He is a past President of the Rotary Club of Zachary, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, the Free & Accepted Masons (Plains Lodge No. 135), the Zachary Chamber of Commerce and the Zachary Athletic Foundation (ZAF).
